With the pandemic, more people just need to supplement their income. We want everyone to make at least $15 an hour, which affects our prices.**

Snuffle mats tire out dogs as much as physical play because when dogs sniff around, they snuffle (rapidly sniffing in and out), which takes a lot more energy than just smelling. At the end of ten minutes of nose work, your dog's body temperature could be as high if he'd been out running. But most of all, snuffle mats are FUN. Dogs love them!

Best Dog On The Block was started by certified dog trainer and artist Eileen Gillan to make interactive toys to enrich dog’s lives. It is now a social enterprise that helps not only dogs but also people.

Eileen knows firsthand what it’s like to be a financially secure homeowner with savings and perfect credit ... and lose everything in a perfect storm of job loss, divorce, and depression. Twenty five years later, Best Dog On The Block is her way of helping others who need a hand to get back on their feet. So far she has trained 25 people and provided them with all the materials they need — free of charge — to make snuffle mats for Best Dog On The Block.

Snuffle Mats come in three sizes (small, medium, and large). Large mats are also available in Deluxe, which incorporate not just fleece, but many other fabrics with different textures to make the puzzle more interesting and challenging.
